Welcome to our site!1
Hey, I think you're super!2

My Name is Samara, my dad served in Viet Nam in 69 and started out in 4 RAR and then was transferred to 9 RAR. i joined this site so i can meet people who are like me and also get some answers to some questions and also to make sure that i'm not weird there are others out there like me.
I live in Melbourne these days. I work in the entertainment industry as a 'Lighting Tech'. My job is perfect for someone who struggles to sleep, the hours are weird and the work physically demanding. I love it.
i've been married and i am divorced (hooray!). my marriage broke down due to physical abuse but our marriage was shakey as i could never tell him what was wrong cause i never new what was. he was frustrated and i was confused then he did the one thing no man can do to me and that was attack me. shit happens.
my dad is my dad. he is who he is. he's changed alot since he was diagnosed with PTSD and has been given medical attention for it. he's alot different to what he was when i was a kid. it's very confusing when you don't need to work out what mood your dad is in by looking at him because he's not going to react the same way he did when you were growing up. but anways.
i love all kinds of music, with the exception of the doof doof. and i love playing with lights and colour.
a single drop is the start of a water fall. lets hope that this becomes a waterfall and all vets kids and grand kids get the support and acceptence we deserve.

Love (this is not a condescending comment), you are not a brat you are a product of your fathers physiological illness that was acquired overseas . He cannot help his responses as they are instantaneous in there development. I have been put in jail because of my responses to a threat and have know memory of what transpired. I am not an idiot I have a degree in education and was a teacher, until I had a emotional breakdown. My youngest daughter suffers from bipolar which I contribute to my physiological problems that I have lived with for thirty years and until recently had no idea that I had a problem (as do many vets). Samara things are very confusing for your dad also even if he won't admit it. I returned from Nam when I was 20, I lasted for 2 yrs and then I went back into the system (army) as I felt safe there it was not until I was discharged at 40 that problems really started to occur ( I must say that my two girls and my partner are worth more than I could ever be for what they went through). I found civilian life an absolute abomination and could not exist in it, due to the lack of structure, and the total lack of responsibility that teachers accepted. Samara, I have problems, but fortunately I have a loving family that knows what is wrong with me and with the medication I am on I am fighting to remain as normal as possible and to help my daughters and grandchildren.

Hello, I'm the daughter of a Viet Nam vet, the grand daughter of 2 WW2 Vets, and the great grand daughter of a WW1 vet. now this genetic evolution that you are stating is passed on can it be traced back that far? can the genetic modification be a lot more obvious because of it?

the sensitive strands of 'A' and 'G' become sensitive in the children born after the fact, my next question is can it skip generations like Asthma, and Diabetes, or are the next generation just as screwed?
